Make any event special by identifying what you will do

Every event can be successful if you identify a few activities you'll partake in no matter what else happens. For example, if you're attending a celebration, you may add some special places or activities that you'll make your own during the event. Perhaps you want to read about the location and visit the nooks and crannies or you may want to taste the venue's most notable foods--you can do that. You may also want to add a hike, run, bike ride, walk, swim or game of tennis, and if you're like me, you'll want to carve out some time in a beautiful place to write, think and dream.

I'm attending a special event soon, and some of the activities I want to add to the venue include the following:

  • I want to spend a few minutes with each of the children there--I simply love children and I'm so happy that children will be there.
  • I want to step back and simply view the crowd--I am an avid people watcher.
  • If time, I want to spend some time with an architect that's coming to get some first hand info about the hotel's history and design.
  • I want to meet some new people and hear their stories.
  • I'd like to walk around the grounds and explore the beauty that abounds.
  • I'm bringing my Scrabble game just in case there are those there who may want to play a round.
  • And, I want to take time to notice the fashions--I do like clothes and I imagine people will wear all kinds of outfits. That will be fun to see.
Every event offers great variety with regard to what you can do, who you will spend time with, and if you take a few minutes prior to the event to identify what you'll do, you can enjoy all that an event has to offer.
