My wishes for you

A good friend is experiencing hard times, and I don't have all that he needs at this time. I wish I could snap my fingers and make his situation better, but I can't. A long time ago when I was experiencing a sad time, that friend was by my side telling me inspiring stories to keep me hopeful and well-directed. What can I do for this friend knowing that I cannot completely remedy the situation?

Ask, What can I do?

When in doubt, it is always good to ask, What can I do for you? This simple question can often lead to good service to others.

Be a good listener

Often when we're at a tough spot, what we need more than anything else is a good listener--someone who cares enough to hear what we have to say.

Positivity

Humor, entertainment, joy can lighten the darkest days.

Care

Demonstrating your care via sharing good food, a story, music, film and more can bring comfort at difficult times.

To be a good friend doesn't mean we'll be able to be all things for those we love, but we can give what we can to demonstrate our love. That will help.
