When we take a moment to consider what people want, the answers will be varied as people want a myriad of objects, experiences and places.
As I consider this question today, I realize that I want to think more deeply about what the people I know and care about want. I have some idea, but I want to understand this with greater detail. Some answers to this question include the following:
A good meal
Lots of people simply want a nutritious, delicious meal. To get a break from meal preparation is a good gift for many.
A good time
Some people want a good time, and that good time is defined differently depending on who you are and what you want.
Time, space and breaks
For people who are working too hard, often what they need is a reprieve from the daily grind.
Camaraderie
People who are distanced from others for all kinds of reasons may desire greater camaraderie and togetherness.
A listening ear
Some people simply need someone to listen to them.
Knowing what those you love and care for really want helps to build strong, positive relationships. I'll be thinking about this question in the days ahead.
