A loved one took charge of a family event. I stepped aside and let that person plan and prepare for the evente. I offered my support and help, and then enjoyed the festivities. As important as it is to lead and manage family affairs, it is similarly important to step aside and let others work their magic too.
It can be difficult to step aside when you are used to leading the show in any arena, but it is important to do this as this is what creates a sense of team and also allows you to recognize and value the gifts that others bring. If we're always in charge, we lose out on learning from others. Onward.
