A few weeks ago my husband and I walked down the center of Commonwealth Avenue in Boston as the lights were being strung. It was beautiful. Today we'll take another holiday city walk to view the lights and decorations as well as some art installations too. Getting outside and visiting city, suburban and country places to see the holiday lights, winterscapes and beautiful art is a great way to celebrate the holidays. As I think of this, I am thinking of the many places throughout New England that I've yet to explore during the holidays--places such as Stockbridge, MA that has many historic homes, museums and places to dine.
As I think of ways to revise our holiday traditions to make the events healthier, more affordable and just plain fun, I'm doing some research to see what's out there. I like this kind of exploration. If you have places that are a must see, let me know. Happy Holidays!
