The cousins' gathering

Soon my cousins and other friends and relatives will visit. I've invited them to my home because I want to keep our long-held, loving ties alive as we get older. As a child, we spent so many good times with each other, and I want to continue to share that common history. Also, we share a common spirit too--we have much in common. In general, we're an outspoken, creative, spirited, active, social crowd who enjoys telling stories, laughing, sharing good foods and doing what we can for our families intimate and extended.

How can I make this gathering special--what can I do?

Good food

Everyone is bringing a food to share. We have many good cooks amongst us so I have no doubt that the food will be good.

Yankee swap of significance

Those interested haved been invited to bring a $10 Yankee Swap gift. I've asked that the grab have a bit of significance to our shared family/friend story. The Yankee Swap is always a lot of fun.

Festive home

I'll do what I can to make my home festive and inviting.

The event will be a simple come-if-you-can event meant for storytelling and holiday cheer. I love keeping our ties alive and I suspect that over time we'll rely on each other too for support, wisdom and care as we have always done throughout the years.
