Sometimes you or someone else may box you in with too-tight parameters. These parameters, in time, will strangle events, places, relationships, opportunity and more. It is better, in most situations, to embrace loose-tight parameters, the kind that are flexible while still maintaining the good values you hold.
As I think of these parameters, I am also cognizant of the parameters that teams make. For example, you may belong to one team that has very strict parameters and when you engage with that team, you hold those parameters very tight. You may also belong to other teams that have loser, more flexible parameters, and in those circumstances, you bend and flex more.
With regard to relationships, it's important to consider the parameters you share, and how those parameters work in that relationship. To respect and uphold mutually agreed upon parameters is potentially one way to strengthen a relationship. This is something I'm thinking about.
