What's best?

What's best differs from person to person and time to time. Yet, we all have our best lists--what's on your's?

Best people

Like most people, my besties are my closest family members, friends and also anyone who works for betterment--I simply love good people who earnestly aim for good living for themselves and others.

Best foods

Like many, I enjoy food, and that's been a challenge with optimal weight/health. I think the solution here is matching special foods with special times such as a ice cream for holidays, fried clams for the summer vacation, lobster for a trip to Maine and chocolate for special dinners. As for daily living, delicious, simple, affordable whole foods are best including good salads, fish, chili, smoothies, fruit, egg dishes and more.

Best places

Beautiful natural places and amazing human-designed spaces top the list. I love what awesome community planning and architecture can do to inspire us and build wonderful communities. Similarly, I love to be in beautiful natural spaces with awesome views. I also love to explore places that tell a story such as beautiful botanical gardens, historic homes, coastal walks and intriguing cityscapes.

Best events

I'm not a big concert or sports match attendee simply because I'm not a fan of big crowds or just sitting. I'm a multi-tasker who likes to do a number of activities at once such as writing, listening to music, and scanning the news in the morning or cooking, singing and examining cookbooks all at once. Walks and talks fit my multi-tasking preferences too. Some of my favorite activities are solitary, some communal and some can be either alone or with others. For example, I love to play Scrabble by myself or with friends--either way it's a game I'm positively addicted to.

Best supports

I'm the kind of person who profits from good coaching, friendships and family relations. I like where positive supports can take us and look for those supports in my life as one way to live a good life.

Best objects

There are a number of objects that make life better. During COVID I bought a number of cooking tools that have helped me to cook better. Also, a collection of quality craft and illustration supplies help me to create, and good tech tools are great for communication, gift making, writing, reading and more.

Knowing what's best for us help us to live good lives--it's a consideration worth the time now and then.
