Navigating COVID 2022

Several of our members did eventually test positive for COVID including myself. Vaxxed and boosted, my symptoms were mild, but the virus did throw a wrench into multiple plans created lost time/support for my parents, missed social engagements and a missed training extravaganza for my son. That said, I'm glad we didn't get too sick and that we are on the mend thanks to all the scientists, doctors and public health officials who made sure we were vaccinated.

What's next? I took a close look at the CDC guidelines and will follow what they say with regard to getting back to our typical routines. I'll also be super careful in public spaces with social distancing and mask wearing. I'll be interested to find out what they learn about Omicron in the days ahead since this COVID variant presents differently than the ones before it. Hopefully there won't be anymore variants, and if there are, hopefully they won't arrive for quite a while--we all need a break.

I didn't expect 2022 to begin this way, but hopefully we can check the COVID box for now and get back to all that we planned to do this month and in the months ahead. Onward.
