Tight rules for good living

We all know people who live by a tight set of rules to ensure good living. For those of us, whose life rules are more loose and flexible, it is sometimes difficult to understand those who live by tight, unbending rules. Yet, today I am thinking about one of those people--a women who has always lived by a shortlist of tight rules. This woman has done a lot of good work in life, loved people well and created a good life for herself. Today I am looking at her example as a source of strength as I tighten up my own list of life rules and focus my life arena at the moment. I won't always live this way, but I can clearly see the value of living this way right now.

We all live life in different ways for different reasons as we're all living with different mindsets, interests, backgrounds, challenges and strengths. It's helpful, however, to gain strength from others when we want to make changes--it's good to look at how others live their lives if we want to gain what they have.

The woman I refer to, a colleague from the past, clearly exhibits thoughtful decision making, good organization and the ability to stick to her priorities. That's what I want right now so for me she'll represent a source of strength. Onward.
