Time audit: Do you use your time well?

 Is a time audit valuable?

Do too many of us waste valuable time with pursuits that translate to little worth?

How can you do a time audit? What will you gain?

As I read through a number of posts on social media, listened to the news and thought about the way that people, including myself, spend their time, I decided to conduct an informal time audit.

I considered the ways I spend my time and the results of those efforts. The conclusion was that I need to be more thoughtful about some of my efforts.

First, I want to minimize the time spent that results in energy dents--the kinds of experiences that compromise your good energy. This includes particular conversations, shows and activities. Clearly some talk and action results in really good energy and some talk and action zaps your energy.

Then I want to make sure that I'm working daily to contribute to goals that have meaning for me--the good goals I've chosen at this time for lots of good reasons.

The way we spend our time matters, and auditing our time regularly helps us to make the best possible use of this commodity. Onward.
