Appreciation

This time of year is always a time of appreciation for me. It's a time of year when there are many family and friend celebrations--the kinds of celebrations that remind me about the good people and events in my life and the lives of my family members.

Additionally, it is a time when the pandemic limitations are lifting. Though there's still some trepidation and caution, the vaccines have allowed us to be able to return to many of the social events we enjoyed in the past. This is a great relief as the past couple of pandemic years have been tough years in so many ways.

We learned a lot during the pandemic years, and that's another reason to be grateful. We may apply the good learning that we've gained to better our lives in the days aboe.

Further, a year ago a loved one faced a deadly medical event, and a year later, not only did my love one survive the event, but we've all also learned how to live with the repercussions in best possible ways. There were some true tough spots as we navigated this medical situation, but a year later, there is much to be grateful for.

So this weekend, my overwhelming focus will be that of appreciation for teh good things and good people in life. I'm grateful to all who made this appreciation possible. Onward.
