Too much fun?

Vaccinations, boosters, lifting masking rules and decreasing numbers of COVID cases find us returning to life as we knew it in many ways, and that may also find you a bit a rusty when it comes to how you navigate your social life. Like the all-too-true Berenstein Bears story, Too Much Birthday, you may find that you jump into your returning social life with a lack of realistic parameters or awareness leaving you anxious, exhausted and uncomfortable. It's possible that you lost some of your social skill and awarness during two years of relative isolation. So what can you do?

For me, I don't want to forget all the good I learned during the COVD years--during these years we were very discerning about who we socialized with, where we went and what we did. While we missed being with so many friends and family members, we did enjoy the good food, outdoor adventures and healthy routines we employed day after day. Therefore when I plowed into a weekend of old time socializing and fun, I was left somewhat exhausted and depleted. I don't want that to happen anymore--I want to weave what we learned about good, healthy living into our renewed post-pandemic social life. How will we do that?

Healthy foods

During the pandemic we spent a lot of time purchasing, growing and preparing super healthy foods. I want that to continue. We ate well and that helped us to feel good too.

Healthy, vigorous entertainment and fun

We spent a lot of time outdoors and our inside time was filled with great entertainment and fun too. I want to make sure that our social events are not simply hanging around, but instead filled with wonderful, memorable adventures, good conversation and fun.

Lots of love and respect

The pandemic years were stressful in many ways creating all kinds of challenges for people. That reality led to a focus on lots of love and respect. I want that to continue.

Quality, positive living

I want us to bring forward the respect for life and good living that the pandemic fostered, and I hope that results in continued, positive relationships and lifestyles.

I'm so happy that we're able to get together with friends again, and I'm very excited about the positive adventures ahead. Onward.
