Subtle changes creep up on you. These changes are often so mild that you don't even realize they're happening. Then, all of a sudden, you notice a big change that's the result of multiple subtle small changes over time.
How do we react to those subtle changes in ways that we can direct those changes in positive ways? What can we do?
First, slow down, listen, observe, and reflect. Yesterday I noticed a number of subtle changes at play in my greater life. Today I want to think about those changes and how I might positively respond to them.
Then, always have that loose-tight vision of the life you want to live. Your vision needs to be loose to include the natural expected and unexpected changes that will occur, and tight because you want to keep your good values strong and central.
When we are blind to the subtle changes, uncomfortable, hurtful, unhealthy, and troubling events may occur. That's why it is important to be astute, observant, and reflective in light of the subtle changes that occur throughout our lives.
