We all want our loved ones to live in ways that are safe and secure? What can we do if we feel that safety is not in place?
I thought about this today as I considered an alarming situation that could be unsafe for a loved one. While I don't want to tread on another person's independence and safety, I do want to protect them and others. So what can I do?
I decided I would keep track of unsafe situations and present the facts to my loved one, and if they don't work with me to make a safe plan, I can resort to getting help by medical authtorities and others. It may be that my plans are thwarted, but at least if that's true, I will know that I did what I could to try to make the situation safer. Onward.
