I took a ten-mile hike yesterday. It was awesome. We walked through a quaint town center, by beautiful homes, along a lovely beach and harbor, by the side of a golf course and via a wonderful bike/walking trail. One upside of walking is what you notice--walking slows you down enough to notice lots of details--details of homes, yards, public lands, nature and more.
What's awesome about a walk is that most of us can partake in that pleasure almost anywhere in the world. It''s relatively free, peaceful, healthy and enjoyable. I'm sure this is an activity I'll repeat often in the days ahead. Onward.
