There is much that I value about our world today. Every day I see countless acts of kindness, care, and awesome service. Generally the people I meet and work with are awesome, caring, and committed to doing the best job possible at work and with those they love. This is all good.
I don't feel the same way about all of our political and corporate leaders. Some are clearly hard at work striving to better society, and some are stuck in a web of dangerous, deadly propaganda simply working to prop up their personal wealth, power, privilege, pleasure, and protection while leaving many behind. These politicians are clearly a BIG waste of taxpayer time, money, and potential.
We'll never agree on all things, but I think that most of us agree that when we work to uplift lives everywhere we all profit. When we leave people behind, we all lose. There are countless ways to make better as the world evolves--many, many ways to build warm, welcoming environments that foster the greater good and prevent the harm possible.
To create a better world, we all have to do the following:
- Work for betterment in our own spheres in whatever ways we can
- Speak out and advocate for the end of policies, laws, actions that prevent good living
- Create new pathways to safe, happy lives and communities
- Seek greater collaboration with others to respect and promote the amazing diversity we represent as a world's people
