Yesterday my husband and I took a beloved relative to a beautiful public spot. In the small seacoast town, there was a multi-mile walkway that provided a beautiful spot for lunch and a walk and talk. The walkway was wide and scenic. All along the way there were sculptures, parks, basketball courts, tennis courts, shops, restaurants, boats, swings, information stations, gardens and seating of all kinds. There were also plenty of places to park. It was a wonderful destination that made our family visit affordable and enjoyable. It is spaces like these that help to build happy, positive communities.
The more we can support beautiful public spaces, the better for good living. Onward.
