Sometimes your values are challenged. This can happen in all kinds of ways for all kinds of reasons, and when this happens, it's time to return to your values list to review and strengthen.
Recently my values were challenged. The challenge actually came from a positive event, the kind of event that makes you wonder if you're living up to the values displayed by the people at the event and the event in general. The event posed a good challenge.
Essentially the people at the event were giving significant time, money, and good energy to support and care for others. This is good, and the kind of work that uplifts the lives of those that give and those that receive--the kind of event and activity we need to emulate to make a more loving, better world.
It's always good to be on the look out for the positivity that exists in our culture--the events and people who promote good will and betterment, people you may emulate as you do your own good work for self and others. It's positive to receive a positive challenge that inspires you to revisit your values in ways that strengthen who you are and what you can do. Onward.
