Make each day a good day

This week's massacre in Ulvade haunts us. The thought that life as you know it and love it can change within moments is frightening. The idea of losing someone you love with no warning can paralyze us. Yet, we have to take that negative energy and translate it into positive advocacy and living. There's no use staying frightened or paralyzed.

How can we do that?

Make a difference

To honor those lost in the horrible massacre, do something positive. Donate to candidates who will work for sensible gun laws. Write letters to political leaders urging them to make change. Join Moms Demand Action and take part in their advocacy efforts. Get involved with local organizations working to uplift lives. There's countless positive efforts we can engage in to prevent hateful massacres and senseless deaths and harm.

Live a good life

Identify what constitutes a good life for you and your loved ones. What does the environment for a good life look like? What activities make up a good life? What do you need to do to make that good life happen?

We can get lost in the bad news, but that does no one any good. What does create good is to do what you can to make positive difference and live a good life for yourself and others. Onward.
