A friend called this morning to relay some disappointment. It wasn't the end-of-the-world disappointment people may face from time to time, but it was disappointment nevertheless. My advice was to not sever any ties, and work on a new avenue with regard to solving the problem. In life, we're always meeting dead ends and forks in the road--times when we have to rethink the steps ahead. The busier your life, the more decisions you will have to make in this regard.
In general, when the paths don't lead to the desired results, we have to try, try again--we can't become discouraged as this is the course of life. It's a win-some, lose-some road, and the more we can stay positive and proactive, hopefully the more wins we'll gain along the way. Onward.
