In this high-tech, information age, evil doers are exploiting the ignorance that abounds in our country and world. This effort plays on the ignorance that exists to promote policies, laws and inaction that obstruct the good living possible.
None of us can know everything, but all of us have to embrace a learner's mindset which helps us to learn new information and integrate current scientific discoveries, invention and awareness in ways that promote the best possible lives for all of us.
Instead, the evil, greedy, self-servers amongst us want to do all they can to diminish good knowledge, understanding and modern learning because they know that's the best way to manipulate the masses to promote policies, laws and the kind of inaction that props up their personal wealth, power, pleasure, protection and privilege while diminishing the rights, privilege and good living for most of Earth's people.
These evil doers who are led by their egos, pride and self gain/fame are a great problem in the world today, and as a people, we must do all we can to counter their manipulative, abusive ways.
How can we do this?
First, stay informed. Follow good, hard working, intelligent people on social media and learn from them. Read books, watch documentaries, attend lectures, access a variety of honest news sources regularly and get involved. Evil doers expect people to be uninformed and uninvolved which, in turn, makes people much easier to manipulate via propaganda, exaggeration and lies. Don't allow that, stay informed instead.
Update your perspectives regularly. As you learn, you will also have to unlearn and update your perspective. Be open to updating what you know to be right and true as it relates to the best possible living for all. Most old ways have been replaced by newer, better ways to live well with the reality of what the world is today. To be mired in old myths and outdated ways of living and understanding the world around us is to obstruct the good living possible for ourselves and others. Only staying with the same-old, same-old groups often hinders our ability to update our perspectives. Instead, getting out there and meeting up with people of various ages, lifestyles, cultures, perspectives and places, helps us to see the world with a broader lens and update our mindsets and understanding in effective, more accurate ways.
Support modern institutions, invention and organizations that foster the best of whom we can be. Find ways to support institutions, inventions and organizations that bring us up to date, make us healthy, connect us and help us to live our best possible lives. Support your local health care organizations, government, schools, social service organizations and community groups in ways that create strong, dynamic, healthy, happy communities. Be apart of what makes us good, not what obstructs the good living possible.
Educate each other. If your associates, family members or friends appear unaware, educate them in kind, thoughtful ways. Just yesterday a family member educated me on an issue I was unaware of. That short educational conversation resulted in a change of practice for me which will better support the community. We can educate one another in ways that are not condescending, but instead, helpful and thoughtful.
Elect and support honorable, intelligent, collaborative, humane, positive leaders. Too many leaders in our government today are lazy, do-nothing, self-serving, ignorant, cowardly, hateful people who take us back rather than move us forward. Leaders who rely on lying, propaganda, exaggeration and the support/donations from the world's evil doers are leaders who spell demise for the good living possible. Instead throw your financial and other support behind leaders who truly care about your day-to-day living, and who tirelessly work in collaborative ways to promote good living for all with tangible, effective action.
Ignorance is a deadly disease, but it's a disease we can all fight against. Do what you can to fight against this disease in yourself and society in order to enrich and uplift all lives. We can do that. Onward.
