I like being apart of a team. I like teamwork because when you work with others there's a flow of good encouragement, ideas, energy, and support. Last night I was lamenting once again the lack of optimal teamwork in one of life's arenas. I read a few articles about it, and the best one pointed to the fact that when teamwork is missing, you have to build a new team by reaching out to others who can work with you to provide the needed supports. So today, that's what I'll do. I won't keep knocking my head against the wall hoping that teamwork will magically appear, but instead I'll begin reaching out to others who can work with me to provide the great array of needed services and supports. Why didn't I think about this before? Why did I keep thinking the situation would magically change without new interventions, work, or ideas?
Before adding new team members, I'll assess the needs that exist, make a list, and then reach out to those that can provide the work and expertise beginning with a fix-it type individual who is able to provide a number of household repairs.
Bottom line, when there's no team, build a one. Onward.
