Everyone chooses a somewhat different life, and that's one reason why it's is nice to visit friends and relatives. It's great to see how people live, and you learn from those experiences as well. As you take part in the lives of others, you find ways of living that appeal to you and ways of living that inspire you. There's so many different permutations on how to live life that it's impossible for any of us to live exactly the same lives, and often we have choices to make--choices based on limitations of time, money, access, location and more. In some ways, these limitations help us to make the tough choices when it comes to money or time.
After visiting friends and relatives this weekend, I'm thinking about the choices we make about our lifestyle--choices related to the budget, our home, the work we do, how we spend our time and who we spend our time with. I'd like to stay in close touch with every friend, but due to our reality and choices and their's, that's not always possible. Yet we typically do get to see most friends at some time during the year.
What we choose has a lot to do with what we have to do and what we enjoy. For example, I love to ride my bike so I'll definitely make choices that include bike riding during my free time, and I also am committed to some time-consuming tasks so I'll definitely make time for those.
After every time away from my home, I come back with new ideas that impact the way we live and the choices we make. Today I'll be thinking about those new ideas and how to incorporate them into the lifestyle we choose. Onward.
