When events don't go your way

I spoke to an individual recently who basically told a story about life events that didn't go her way. As I listened to her story, it was clear that the dream she had for one area of her life completely erupted and ended up very differently than she expected. As she spoke, I thought about her story and what seemed like a situation greatly out of her hands. A person she had invested in, betrayed her time and again leaving her life greatly challenged. Could she have avoided this calamity. Probably not since there was little indication this is the way life would unfold.

What do you do when the big dreams for your life completely blow up leaving you in a precarious position? How do you move ahead?

Probably like most people in a situation like this, this woman was making lemonade out of lemons--she was building a good life for herself, a life quite different than she originally expected, but a good life with many people and events to enjoy and take pride in.

Events don't always go our way. We hit those potholes of life now and then, and that's when we have to re-dream, rethink, rebuild. That's likely a part of everyone's life. Onward.
