I have a few friends that are MAGA Extremists. They devote time and energy to promoting the lies, propaganda, prejudice, and injustice that the Trump team and their MAGA extremist cult have created. In many ways I like these friends--they have some great personal talents and habits, yet I can't be too close to them as their narrow-minded will to promote what hurts people is too great. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over time.
I have other friends who lean in the MAGA direction, but they don't let it take over their life and they have a healthy skepticism related to the current Republican party agenda. I remain friendly with these people because they are more open minded to new ideas and broadening their perspective to include more people.
Of course, it's easiest for me to be friends with my liberal, progressive friends who, like me, believe that we can promote good living for all in multiple humane, positive, creative, modern ways. Onward.
