I've been the recipient of so many warm, comforting messages and gestures since Mom died. I'm grateful for that show of support, and hope to pay it forward in the days to come. What was an incredibly busy and challenging caregiving schedule has now taken a dramatic shift since Mom died. What will the next days, weeks and months bring?
Caregiving
I'll continue my primary role as a caregiver to many family members in the days ahead. I enjoy helping others, and I especially enjoy helping my family members in ways that I can. I'm fortunate to have the time and energy right now to be there for those I love, and that's where I'll focus my energy. Specifically that means helping those I love with the many pursuits and needs they are focused on at this time. I can do that.
Health
As always, good health which means positive activity, nutrition and rest remain a priority for me and those I care for. I hope to often couple social and caregiving efforts with healthy activity as often as possible
Advocacy
I hope to continue to advocate for causes and government that I believe will create strong, positive communities everywhere in our country and world. This advocacy involves calling out self-serving, corrupt, dishonest leaders; demonstrating my support for positive causes, leaders and initiatives in multiple ways; and doing the reading and research necessary to understand what's going on and related positive actions I'm able to take part in.
I'm not quite sure what the days and weeks ahead will bring, but having the priorities outlined above will help to give shape to the days no matter what occurs. Onward.
