Do you remember your parents having a pot-luck dinner in the past? I do, and it was a lot of fun. Usually, if it was the same crowd, people ended up bringing their signature dishes. I always looked forward to Aunt Ginny's scalloped potatoes and Aunt Betty's whipped cream and chocolate cupcakes. It's been a while since I had a pot-luck dinner at my house, but soon I'll have one. The good news about a pot-luck is that everyone takes part in the preparation--they share a part of themselves. I'm looking forward to that.
