It's true that we have to earn the respect of others. How do we do that?
We can earn the respect of others via our actions related to the work we do, the way we treat people, the words we speak/write, and service we support.
There are so many people that I respect, and I thought about why I respect those people today.
In general, the people I respect display the following attributes:
- care, helpfulness, authenticity towards others
- open mindedness with regard to the way people live their lives
- curious attitude towards change and development
- perseverance related to life's challenges
- positivity
- honesty
- patience
- forgiveness, acceptance, tolerance
- respect and care for the natural world
- ability to change their mind when needed
- humility
In general, I respect people with good character, people that display the attributes of good character.
