Have you been used by others to promote their gain in some way? I thought about this as I reviewed Herschel Walker's candidacy--he clearly is being used by MAGA leaders and funders as a means to their self-serving vision for the United States. To hear Walker speak, you know that his knowledge of government is weak and his ability to lead independently even weaker. He was clearly chosen by MAGA leaders and funders because he is compromised and will be able to do their dirty work while in office. They've clearly chosen Boerbert, Greene, Gaetz, Cawthorn and others to do the same. I'm not sure where they get their playbook that includes choosing egomaniacal, compromised, socially-attractive candidates to do their dirty work comes from, but it is a play that they've used time and again to stoke their wealth, power, privilege, and pleasure--a play that works against what is right and good for the American people and our nation in general.
Perhaps this is a play used throughout time. I'm not sure.
This situation led me to think about my own life. Have I been used like this by others? Have people used me to gain power, privilege, profit, or pleasure? I'd say, not in any big way. I've typically, for better or worse, been an independent person thanks to being raised by two very independent parents. I've rarely signed on to any agenda or individual without thinking through what's happening and where they are headed.
Yet, I've been tricked before. Once I thought I worked for a very trustworthy individual only to learn that he wasn't relaying the truth of the matter to me. He did fool me for a while, but in time I woke up to it and knew better. Also there were a few times when people tried to convince me to do their dirty work, but fortunately I was surrounded by people who knew better--people that guided me in the right direction. I've also lived a simple life, so I'm not that attractive to evil doers--I don't have the kind of money, prestige, popular appearance, background that they seek for their manipulation.
Those who the MAGA Leaders and funders reach out to to use and abuse should know better than to do the dirty work of such corrupt individuals. People like Herschel Walker should step down, support Reverend Warnock, and do the right thing by the people of the United States. Walker is clearly compromised--he will be unable to do the work he's called to do as a lawmaker. It's a crime that he continues to run for office simply to appease some greedy, corrupt individuals. Onward.
