Make a plan to practice your goal efforts

If you make time to create good goals as well as a plan to reach those goals, then you're ready to put your goal work into play. Reaching your goals won't be as simple as naming the goals, mapping the effort, and putting that effort into place because to reach a good goal takes practice over time. So, how might you practice the efforts needed to reach a new goal?

Outline and visualize your plan specifically. The more detailed and specific your plan is, the more likely you will be to reach that goal. Create assessments and assessment points for your practice. When you assess, you''ll step back from the effort and review what you did and how you did it--you'll notice what worked and what didn't work, and then you'll make adjustments.

This weekend gives me a perfect opportunity to practice new goal work for a life goal I've identified. I'll make some time this morning to outline exactly how I'll reach for that goal and then assess how I did when the weekend is over.

One of my favorite follows on Twitter, added a good tweet this morning that matches this goal work. I copied his tweet quote at the top of the page and will use this as a source of inspiration for this work.
