I noted to a friend yesterday that there's more mystery in my life now than in the past. My friend agreed. Why is this sense of mystery greater? I think this is mostly due to my age--medical issues, losing parents, and changing life ways are more apparent now than in the busy parenting/working years of the past. Many friends are moving or considering moves, changing jobs or retiring, and revising their lifestyles as their children embark on their own lives.
We really don't know a lot about what's around the corner, and we know that the next ten years will bring a lot of changes to our lives--changes we can prepare for and changes we can't prepare for.
Amongst these mysteries, there are practices that we can hold on to--practices that give life stability and strength.
If we build a good foundation of our best health, relationships, and routines, we'll be able to sustain the changes that occur and the mysteries that exist. Onward.
