Sometimes we quickly bury an experience, thought, or feeling. Rather than deal with it, we bury and ignore the sensation. That's never a good idea because that buried emotion will percolate within you and affect all that you do.
That happened to me yesterday. I buried an experience and feeling deeply as I had other things and events on my mind. Yet throughout the day, nothing went exactly as planned simply because that experience kept percolating beneath my skin interrupting a positive flow of thought and activities throughout the day. Instead, had I made time to think through the situation, the rest of the day would have gone better.
Generally when it comes to burying thoughts, experiences, and feelings we'll all face some behavioral patterns. For example, with regard to this recent event, the emotions buried are typically emotions and events I don't like to deal with for all kinds of reasons. For this fact alone, I have to make sure that I focus on these areas a bit more in life since they are areas of life that offer greater challenge.
Rather than leave your thoughts, experiences, and feelings untended, make some time to get underneath those emotions in order to make some positive decisions about how you'll react. Onward.
