What takes you down?

My perpetual aim is to have as good energy as possible. When my energy is good, I love what I can accomplish for myself and others. Yet, there are some energy zappers that totally destroy my good energy. Awareness of those zappers helps you to avoid their destructive impact.

People who zap your energy

Everyone will have some people in their lives who zap their energy, and it's likely that you'll be the person that zaps other's energy from time to time too. People who zap your energy may be people that don't listen, only talk about themselves, respond harshly, demonstrate little empathy or compassion, and/or don't take the time to know you or care about you. If someone is zapping your energy, and you still want that person in your life, find the sweet spot with that person--the place where you give to one another rather than zap each other of energy and positivity.

Actions that zap your energy

I love to experiment. I like trying different ways of doing things, and with experimentation often comes frustration as it takes time to learn how to do things differently. Too much experimentation in one day can lead to great frustration which definitely zaps energy. A good balance in the day of activities that are energy increasing rather than energy zapping is better than a day full of activity that is energy zapping.

Routines that zap your energy

If you're always tired and you don't have an illness causing that, you probably don't have an energy empowering routine. Creating a routine that results in best possible energy serves you well.

Places that zap your energy

Recently I visited a place that zapped my energy--the place was uninspiring at best for all kinds of reasons. Being there made me realize that the kinds of places I visit and explore definitely impact my energy for the better or worse.

Keeping a list of activities, people, routines, and places that either empower your energy or zap your energy will help you to make good decisions about your life, and that's positive.
