I read the tweet above this morning which prompted me to think about the many people who have helped me in life. There are far more people who have helped me than hurt me in life, and that's probably one reason I think more about the few that I've had struggles with than the many who have helped me time and again. Who are those people?
Family
My giant family has been there for me time and again throughout my life. They've been there for my special occasions and celebrations; they've been there for me when times got tough; and they've been there for me as we came together to help one another, share stories, and encourage each others' best living.
Friends and colleagues
I've learned so much and had so many good times with friends and colleagues over the years. They've been there for me when it mattered.
Neighbors
I live in a nice neighborhood with good people that care for one another when needed.
Community
For the most part, the communities where I live and frequent are filled with helpful good people that I interact with all the time as I live my life.
Government
I live in a city and state with many, many effective, hard working, honest, intelligent, thoughtful, and successful government officials that focus on what the people need in order to live good lives. As far as the USA, my country goes, there are many good leaders, but right now, there's a fair number of self-serving, criminal leaders in our national government, and I hope that people will stop following those deadly, self-serving propagandists and instead, vote for the kind of leaders my state has, leaders who truly work for the people more than themselves.
Health care and education
Throughout life I've been well-served by so many awesome educators and health care providers--this has been amazing and greatly empowering.
Overall in my long life to date, I've had countless good people in my life, people who have contributed greatly to the good life I enjoy. I wish this reality for every individual. Onward.
