What are you looking forward to and what does that require?

The cold, dark days of winter are good days to prepare for spring, summer, and fall adventures. Yes, it's definitely good to get outdoors in the winter air to engage in all kinds of winter sports and adventures, but that's never as easy as spring, summer, and fall adventures. So on those dark winter days, a good focus is preparing the home and other aspects of life for adventures, celebrations, and good times to come.

The garden plan

Winter is a good time to design the garden. What do you want to grow? What do you hope the garden will look like? Do you need to make or buy any garden fences or fixtures to support the plants and deter the animals? What seeds will you start inside? What seeds will you plant and/or grow in containers and what will you grow directly in the garden?

Getting strong for spring, summer, fall adventures

What adventures have you planned for the spring, summer, and fall, and how can you prepare for those adventures? For example, if you're planning a long biking adventure, you may want to set up a gym routine that prepares you for that lengthy biking adventure. Whether your adventures include walking, biking, hiking, swimming or more, you can prep for this during the winter months.

Comfortable home

Winter is a good time to update the inside of your home. There's often many celebrations in the spring months and have a home ready for those celebrations is a good focus of winter time.

Study

Winter is a good time to focus on deep study of any kind. It's a lot more difficult to focus on deep study when the weather warms up and more outdoor adventures occur.

Transitions

If your planning a transition of any kind, winter is the time to research and plan for that transition.

Winter is a good time to do what you can to prepare for the warmer, brighter days and months ahead. What will you do to prepare?
