Goal reflections

I began a seven-week goal 12 days ago. This was my second time attempting this goal. The first time I lasted about four days, so 12 days is a big accomplishment. How will I continue this journey and stick to the goal for the remaining 37 days?

Goal schedule

Fortunately I found a great goal plan online to help me navigate this goal in a balanced way. Whoever created the schedule did a great job. It's as if they knew me when they wrote the plan. So sticking the plan is essential.

Prioritize the plan

In order to reach the goal, I've had to put other aspects of life on hold. You can't add a goal to your life without making space for that, and if you have a full life before the goal that means you have to take something off your plate to add the goal. It's not easy to say no to aspects of life you've been committed to, but if you want to reach your goal, you have to prioritize it and say no to other, less important aspects of life.

Don't crowd the day

New goals take both physical and mental energy. If you crowd your days leaving little space for needed physical or mental energy, you won't achieve your goal. So don't crowd your days--leave time to rest, think and be active in ways that support your goal.

Stay the course

Don't give up--keep on going towards that goal. Onward.
