Trump Indictment

Trump over time has acted with dishonesty and lawlessness. There was no clearer example of this than his creation and spreading of The Big Lie and his promotion of the January 6th terrorist insurrection. Trump knowingly spread The Big Lie, promoted the terror, vandalism, and violence on January 6th, and passively sat back and allowed The Capitol to be vandalized, justice obstructed, and people terrorized, harmed, and even killed. He is a lawless man who has wasted countless American dollars, time, and capacity throughout his life. Now, at last, there may be some justice with regard to his crime and corruption.

While good Americans obey the laws, pay their taxes, invest in the common good, and speak up and work peacefully to change the laws when they don't agree, Trump bullies his way ahead by using and abusing people, people who he simply casts aside once they are caught in his illegal maneuvers. Many of his followers now sit in jail cells or lie in grave sites due to his calls to action while Trump continues to be free. Hopefully in short time, that will end, and Trump too will pay the price of his greed, abuse, crime, and corruption.

Many of us have felt the weight of Trump's oppression for years. I was willing to give him a chance when he won the Presidential election in 2016. I thought that maybe he would change, but from his first days when he lied to the CIA staff and grandstanded himself rather than the dedicated work so many agents had done, I knew he wasn't going to change. Day after day after that he proved himself to be a self-serving, greedy, money-hungry, corrupt propagandist that didn't care about the American people or the United States.

Now a grand jury has made an indictment against Trump for his misuse of hush money to a porn star. Rather than following the rules related to his use of money, taxes, and election funds, he did whatever he wanted to protect his greed and promote his crimes.

I'm happy to see justice done to Trump. I'm especially happy about this because so many ordinary people pay the price all the time for crimes much smaller, and so many others choose to follow the law by completing paperwork correctly, paying their taxes, and following the rules related to elections and funds. No one is above the law, not even a former President of the United States. I look forward to this trial and the many more indictments and trials to follow that will outline Trump's many offenses against the people of the United States and our good country's laws, living, and future. Onward.
