Adventure Summer

I'm hoping for an adventure summer which means a summer that includes lots of outdoor hiking, biking, swimming, camping, gardening, and exploration. To engage in that activity means being ready to go when the weather is just right as I'm not a fan of adventuring during thunder storms, lots of rain, or other weather challenges.

What do you need when it comes to being ready to adventure in a moment's notice?

Camping equipment

You need a tent, tarps, sleeping bags, pads or blow-up mattresses, blankets, chairs, flashlights, lighters, and a mini grill of some kind.

Foods

Easy to prepare, hardy, healthy foods such as peanut butter, nuts, fruits, yogurt, and more. You'll need a cooler too to keep the yogurt, milk, cheeses, and other refrigerated products cool.

Adventure clothes

Clothes that are easy to move in such as sneakers, hiking boots, good socks, leggings, sports shirts, hats, fleeces, sweatshirts, rain jackets, and more.

Adventure equipment

Depending on what you hope to do, you may bring backpacks, bikes, kayaks, balls, tennis rackets or more.

Protective gear

In addition to rain jackets and warm light-weight coats for the high altitude cold, you'll want sunscreen, lip balm, soap, antibacterial ointment, first aid kits, sunglasses, and any prescriptions you regularly take.

Spring is a good time to prep your adventure gear so that you can take off when the weather and opportunity is just right during the spring, summer, and fall months. Onward.
