I've got a few big, tough goals, and often it's much easier to ignore those goals than to work on those goals. Tough goals present like a steep mountain. The vision of reaching those goals is great, but the work to get there is daunting.
Yet, as many say, to include the microsteps towards those goals in your daily routine is one good way to make progress on those goals. Identify your most energized, strong time in the day and place that goal work into that slot, then commit to it. As you engage in that work, chart your results. Then analyze that chart and make revisions to better the training. This is not rocket science to understand, but far more challenging to actually achieve. Onward.
