Homecoming weekend thoughts

Easter turned out to be a homecoming weekend for family members. It was great to see our sons and so many other family members and friends. Some of the planning definitely helped to make it a wonderful weekend.

Good foods

I did a big shop so there were many good foods available for our guests.

Healthy meals

As has been true for the past few years, the healthy foods were eaten first. So, in the future, the goal is to prepare lots of healthy foods--that's what people like. A few sweets are nice, but in general, the sweets were left over and the healthy foods were gone.

Engaging activities

Healthy, enjoyable activities brought people together in positive ways. Planning fun games, hikes, bike rides and more creates a positive homecoming.

Warm, welcoming home

Making our home as warm and welcoming as possible makes people feel good and gives them a chance to relax. I want to clean up a few more spaces at home to make this even better.

Good energy

Doing what you can so your energy is positive when guests visit helps to make a homecoming happy. Don't overdo it.

We have to enjoy these homecoming days as they won't happen that often given people's personal schedules and commitments. Onward.
