When I do a deep clean of the house I like to think of what the year ahead will be like. That helps me to decide what to keep and what to give away. This year-long view also helps me to consider how to organize the many objects we've collected over the years. So what's ahead.
Spring/Summer Adventures
These adventures will include beach walks, bike rides, mountain hikes, gardening, dinner parties, reading, writing, drawing, watching films, baking, cooking, and a bit of travel too.
Fall Events
During the fall we'll get ready for the holidays, do some leaf peeping, and engage in similar outdoor and indoor events as the spring/summer.
Winter
Winter is always an indoor creative time--a time when I delve into the family history project and other creative endeavors. I'll file away materials related to that and take them out when the cold weather arrives.
I continually seek to build a warm, welcoming home with less things than more--a simple place to relax, think, write, connect, and create. It's an endless pursuit. Onward.
