At yesterday's Father's Day gathering there were a number of positive actions--energizing efforts that brought people together in happy, healthy ways. My husband, nephew, and son took their bikes on a 32-mile hill ride to the top of a local mountain. They were exhilarated. Later many engaged in games of volleyball as well whiffle ball, badminton, and squit gun play. The action was entertaining to watch and energizing to take part in. My sister long ago expressed a desire for action-filled get togethers preferring those to sit-around events. While I love a good conversation, more and more I'm preferring events that's are active and/or adventurous. As for a good conversation, that is usually better planned over a cup of coffee with one or a few people rather than a party or celebration atmosphere. Onward.
