A friend shared her passion with me. She was guilty about loving a particular activity so much. I thought about her guilty expression. The activity is positive, and there's no reason why she should feel guilty about it.
As I explore the topic of culture shift, I want to think about the many passions people have, passions that they love a lot and passions that they're often reticent to share because they fear the judgement of others. That does no one any good. When we embrace our positive, life enriching passions we become better people with more to give.
As I shift culture, I want to think about the many varying passions the people I love embrace--the passions they want to engage in as often as possible. How can we incorporate time for those passions within our greater culture? How can I encourage those passion in positive ways?
As we work to create good culture, we have to be cognizant of what the individuals in our groups need and enjoy, and then we have to find ways to incorporate time and space for those individual passions too. Onward.
