A while ago, I pinpointed a few changes I desired. The changes were personal in nature--deep, thoughtful, specific changes with regard to how I live life. I've been working on those changes mostly in my subconscious as the changes were difficult to describe in words. Then, all of a sudden, it was clear that the change was in process--a positive change, and one that I'm beginning to be able to define.
As we age, the ways we want to develop often become more quiet, personal, and specific--changes in nature rather than changes in objects, events, or actions. Essentially the changes I desire have a lot more to do with how I love, respect, and care for others. I want to do what I can to live a good life for myself and others at the same time. I don't want to drag others down, but instead help to support others and lift them up, and there's all kinds of ways to do that well.
How can we be attuned to others in ways that make us a positive friend and family member? What actions truly support your best living and the best lives of others? These are questions I thinking deeply about these days--questions I'm devoted to. Onward.
